T. Carson, RD. LD. is one of the founding Partners of Hebni Nutrition
Consultants, Inc. (the developers of the original Soul Food Pyramid-a
culturally sensitive teaching tool.) Ms. Carson retired from
the Florida Department of Health in July 2002 where she was a Senior Public
Nutritionist with the Orange County Health Department Orlando, FL. She
provided nutrition education counseling for the WIC Program Participants
and the Central Florida community.
Before coming to Florida in 1990 Ms. Carson served in a variety of capacities
providing nutrition education:

- Chief Clinical and Director of Dietetics:

Ms Carson is graduate of Florida A & M University with a B. S. in
Foods, Nutrition And Institutional Management. She completed her Dietetic
Internship at Freedmen’s Hospital (Howard University Medical Center) Washington,
DC.
Received membership in The American Dietetics Association September 1957.
Present credentials include: Registered Dietitian and License Dietitian
/Nutritionist Professional Memberships: The American Dietetics Association,
Florida Dietetics Association, East Central Dietetics Association (Florida)
and the American Diabetes Association Florida Affiliate, Diversity Committee.
Professional Honor: Who’s Who in the East, 17th Edition 1979-1980. Ms.
Carson has served as a mentor to many dietetic students and still mentors
young dietitians today.
As a partner of HNC, she is committed to improving consumer health by
providing comprehensive nutrition and health education information through
workshops, seminars, and community-based education programs, as well as
one-on-one counseling services for individuals in the community. Ms. Carson
is a recipient of many certificates and awards for community service activities.
